Bar Helios: Epic Universe’s Most Radiant Rooftop Escape

Bar Helios is located at the rooftop of the Helios Grand Hotel. The restaurant provides delicious drinks, food, and ambiance. I was fortunate enough to book a reservation months in advance since I hear that it gets booked fairly frequently, especially in the first week of Epic Universe’s official opening.
The ambiance at night is very different from the day, and the view from above is great, especially if you secure seats near the windows overlooking the theme park.
Upon seating, we were greeted by our server, Todd. All the staff appears to be trained well on knowing their menu and drinks recommendations, and Todd was super amiable as he gave us tidbits on popular drinks and food items. Please note that this is a bar, not a restaurant, so most of the menu items aren’t meant to be super filling.
Tropical Mocktail
Cost: $12
This mocktail was crafted separately from what’s listed on the current menu. I requested it since most beverages offered were alcoholic. Our server was able to produce one from the bar and it tastes like an orange spritzer.
Bluefin Tuna
Cost: $25
This bluefin tuna comes in chili crunch oil, capers, and Olio verde
It’s very small, and not very filling, but it’s delicious! I would order this again in a heartbeat despite the cost.
Wagyu Beef Sliders
Cost: $26
Small and simple, but filling. The cost is appropriate for the location. It has Kibbeh Spiced Mayo, aged cheddar, charred onions, and arugula. Overall a solid choice for two people, or even just one person.
The Shattered Rose
Cost: $32
Babka Bread Pudding, Cardamom Gelato
The “Interactive Experience” that’s mentioned is more of a short showing involving dry ice and “drying” the rose. “Shattering” the rose was quite fun, and it’s pretty delicious when mixing it with the gelato and bread pudding. Definitely worth trying out at least once with a small group.
